Sisal, is a strong, natural fibre that blends well with a woodland environment. It has excellent resistance to sunlight, little stretch, and good knot-holding ability. At forest schools, it is useful for building constructions.
New and untreated sisal rope can be spiky and is best handled with gloves. It has not been tested to hold peoples weight and is not suitable for high ropes courses and rope swings.
Sisal rope is also available in 220m lengths. |
